Like the isolated boater was terribly aware of my presence as we hovered over him in a helicopter taking photos of his solitude, I completely know you’re out there…lurking. Love the photo. Do you often fly around in a helicopter taking pictures?

Don’t I wish! It was a dream of mine, and a friend arranged it as a surprise. It was a very tiny private helicopter and we flew up around the mountain and over the timberlands that surround my town. The pilot gave it to me to thank me for community service. Still brings humble tears to my eyes. It was incredible. The lone boater was a happy fluke…I love it too.
