Feeling Human front coverw

Jac lost his body, but he hasn’t lost his mind…yet. Because of his hyper-sensitivity to the energy of others, Jac felt like an isolated misfit. But when he wished to leave his grandfather’s ranch and fit in, he never meant to leave his body behind. An unexpected encounter starts a wild ride from one person to another as 18-year-old Jac King tries to relate to humankind. His mind is transferred farther and farther from regaining his body and the place he calls home. As a fly-on-the-wall to the human soul, he’s confronted by the feelings of others and his own anger at his mom for leaving him. If he could only find a way to be more than alone.

Thoughts from Readers:

“It was brilliant! Intriguing, unusual and yet so human and familiar.”

“The storytelling in this book is amazing. Each scene is fascinating and well written and the writing style pulls me right in.”

“A unique look into the mindset and emotions of people with entirely different lives, desires, and struggles. This story ties together various tales in a seamless… telling of Jac’s story, of not just self-discovery, but of understanding the reasons behind the actions of others.”

“I really lost myself in it. I liked the variety of characters and experiences…It felt real. A great job capturing a boy who was so hung up on his past he couldn’t move forward in life…both fun and heartwarming…very original and refreshing.”

“I’ve never read anything quite like this. You have a misunderstood youth, sure, but he’s very different from anyone else in the world or in literature… Engaging from the start, satisfying to the end.”

LIKENESS, a Novel – A Reality with a Twist Book, by Sheri J. Kennedy Released October 2015
Likeness front cover final (2)What if everyone became the same?… In LIKENESS, early millennium Seattle-based workers Charlie and Emmaline are thrust from their comfortable and quirky marketing department to the Worldwide Pharmaceutical Conference stage. They present their ad for a new drug, Assimilaire, that minimizes social anxiety by making one feel the same as those around them.
In a strange twist, a free sample causes the audience members to not only feel like, but to become like athletic geek Charlie and adventurous artist Emmaline.
Forced to stay at the conference by a bomb scare, the affected hotel guests are caught in a grand experiment and a madcap romp exposing the nature of similarity and difference.

This snappy contemporary novel provides much to think about and plenty of humor as it considers the value of who we are.
